PLAN, DESIGN, BUILD AND HAND-OFF
When we began working with OnTheMarc, they had a non-responsive website which was difficult to navigate. In our complete redesign, we took their beautiful photography and set it to full width to emphasize every detail, just as OnTheMarc does when preparing events. We added a “Foods” section, where visitors can view the wide range of food courses they offer, along with sample menus, details, photographs and even client testimonials in one central location. We also created an external shop hosted on Shopify so OnTheMarc taste can be delivered straight to your door. We built both sites on a responsive structure so users can browse the website on their phone, tablet and desktop.
We built OnTheMarc a custom Wordpress admin area where they can easily update their website on their own — such as having the ability to add new items to the Food, Venues, Events, and Recipe sections. This was essential to our process — plan, design, build, and hand-off. After we launched the first phase of the website, OnTheMarc partnered with a company called The Inn at Longshore. We worked with them to build a sister website that felt similar but maintained its own branding.
After The Inn’s website launched we revisited OnTheMarc’s website to add some new features we brought to The Inn at Longshore website. We also redesigned the homepage and about page, and added a few new sections for the employees to accommodate their growth and content update needs. For a more integrated and accessible experience, we included a career application form and private employee section.
